2. Test Equipment to check the Motor pump to Circulate the

Transformer oil (MPH)
A transformer oil circulating pump (MPH) is used to circulate the
transformer oil in WAG7 locomotive. The MPH is overhauled every 04
years. Earlier the functioning of MPH was tested on the locomotive,
which resulted in heavy re-work if any trouble is noticed. Hence a test
stand is fabricated in house to check the functioning of transformer oil
circulating pump (MPH) after overhaul. This test stand is used to check
various parameters like pump output pressure, Vibration, Unusual
sound, oil leakages, current drawn, Voltage and direction of rotation.
