4. In House Fabrication of Ultra-Thermic Cutter by SPART team,Kazipet

Ultra thermic cutter is rapid cutting process in which wide array of
materials can be cut. This is useful where time is critical such as Main line
restoration. But good brand Ultra thermic cutter is very costly.

SPART team/Kazipet has fabricated an Ultra Thermic Cutter using
Material available in Diesel loco shed, Kazipet and material available in
local market which have reduced cost from Rs 6 Lakhs to Rs 9,500

thereby saving Rs 5,90,500 on one set. The vast difference in cost,
enabled to have multiple number of Ultra thermic cutters in SPART and
140T BD Crane formations to enable carrying out cutting operations
simultaneously by different operators at a time.

 High Volume Oxygen Regulator- Available in Oxy- Acetylene
Cutting Set

 Collet, Collet Adopter & Collet Nut- Machined from Brass Bar

 Striker plate –Available in Diesel loco as Knife Switch

 Electrical Cables and Earthing Clamps-Available with Elec.
Maintenance Dept
 High Pressure Hose Pipe-Purchased from Local Market

 Welding Gloves and Safety Goggles- Purchased from Local Market
 Cutting Rods – Supplied by OEM
