lighting, layout, noise, clutter and workplace design.
● Suboptimal ambient environment - poor lighting,
poor temperature, noise
● Suboptimal workplace design - poor layout, poor
location/distribution of materials
● Suboptimal housekeeping - cluttered. disorganized
unclean

Tools / Technology
Tools/Technology encompasses a variety of issues including the
design of equipment and controls, displays/interface
characteristics, checklist layout and automation.
● Inadequate design - confusing, cumbersome, inflexible,
incompatible design
Inadequate condition - outdated, poorly maintained,
malfunctioning
