As if it was aware of my attention, the face with its
piercing eyes came racing at me

It scared and chilled me to the bone!

Completely disoriented and quivering from the
intense vision, I stood there frozen for what seemed like
an eternity.
Never had I experienced anything like this. Fearing
that my cousin would think I was going completely
crazy, I chose not to tell her what had just happened as I
got in the back seat of her car.

I just grasped the seat and slowly, quietly exhaled.
My vision had seemed as real as my experience of now
being in the car with my cousin and her husband.
For the moment my reality was back; but, somehow
I felt the secure safe bubble my mother had provided
had been shattered. Something had definitely changed
and things would never be the same!
