Without thinking, I walked to the edge of the lake,
closed my eyes and gently touched the water.
Inwardly, I felt a deep sense of gratitude and softly
just said, “Thank You.” Aroha was beside me also
showing her respect for the Lake.
In silence we stood at the bank edge of the lake and
as I looked out over the glistening water.
I noticed a huge heart shaped rock on the bank
across the other side.
I had to giggle to myself as I reached down and held
my heart shaped locket. Somehow this place gave me a
real sense of peace and belonging
