Offering both undergraduate and graduate online
programs in nursing, Miami-based Nexus University

The unique RN to BSN Program at Nexus allows BY JANIE BAILEY, PHD,
licensed registered nurses, whether associate degree or MSN, MS, RN
diploma, to earn a baccalaureate degree in nursing in
three sequential semesters. The online theory instructional format allows working nurses
the flexibility needed to tie their available hours to a career-building opportunity .
The Master of Science – Clinical Nurse Leader program prepares nurses to take on
leadership roles in specializations such as Healthcare Informatics and Executive. The
program meets the educational needs of nurses who already are working in leadership
positions or are seeking to transition to higher-level roles. The course of study is 36
semester hours with 400 clinical hours and can be completed in five sequential
semesters. Upon completion of the program, the student can apply to take the
Clinical Nurse Leader certification exam.
A highly qualified and experienced faculty apply a technology-driven curriculum
that actively engages a small student cohort with individualized attention. Nexus pro-
vides a faculty approachable atmosphere and caring concern for each student from
admission to graduation.
Nexus was established in Downtown Miami in 2017 and is a branch campus of
Universidad Mayor, a private institution established in Santiago, Chile, in 1988.
UMayor boasts a 30-year tradition of sustained growth and service. Nexus, as a
branch campus of UMayor, is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher
Education. Also, Nexus is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent
Education.
