Dr. Charles Vogel, 80, has been practicing medical
oncology since 1966—and battling breast cancer
specifically since 1975. His dedication to treating his
patients has few parallels, and it has made him an
oncologist of international renown with more than
500 breast cancer publications and abstracts to his
name. He has been listed in The Best Doctors in
America every year since 1992, and received the
inaugural Legend in Cancer award in 2019, which
will be renamed in his honor next year.
Dr. Vogel began his career with the National
