CLOSING YOUR DOCUMENT
When you have finished the document in which you were working, it is always
better to close it. To close your opened document, follow the given steps:
Step 1 : Click on File tab.
Step 2 : Click on Close option. A Microsoft Word dialog box will appear.
Step 3 : You will see that Microsoft Word window will show three options:
(i) Save (ii) Don't Save (iii) Cancel
Step 4 : If you select ‘Save ’
option, then the
current work in the
document will be
saved.
If you select ‘Don't Save ’, then
the current work in your
document will not be saved.
If you choose ‘Cancel ’, then the
document will not be closed
and will stay as it is.
OPENING YOUR SAVED FILE
You have seen that after giving a name to your file, the file will be saved in My
Documents folder.
Step 1 : Click on File tab.
Step 2 : Click on Open
option. An Open
dialog appears.
Step 3 : Click on the file you
want to choose.
Step 4 : Click on Open . The
saved file will be
open.
