unless something is so urgent that it absolutely takes pre-
cedence. It’s no secret to my staff that I leave to swim mid-
day either. I return to the office with wet hair!
Make It a Team Activity.
If you’re taking someone out for lunch or a coffee, walk
the long way there! Or have a walking meeting outside.
This is how you model healthy living and set an example
for your team. Although you can’t make someone get up
and take a walk, if they do they will be healthier and your
business will be healthier because of it.
Change Your Patterns—Step by Step.
Your brain grows when you provide new and different
experiences but, as we all know, change is hard. Closely
examining your relationship to change is essential to
building a Tiny Business.
Change is hard because it feels insurmountable. Cul-
ture will have us believe that you are required to do the
whole thing at once and if you fail you won’t be any better
off than when you started. Untrue. All you have to do is
pick one direction and take one step at a time.
I climbed Angels Landing at Zion National Park,
gaining 1448 feet of elevation using chains hand over hand
