When things start looking up, it’s easy to forget about existing customers. Don’t
tempt your customers to take their business elsewhere. Studies show it costs five times as
much to gain a new customer as it does to keep an existing one. Work harder than ever to
demonstrate you care about your present customers. Stay in touch.
HOW?
Send out a SMART THOUGHT OF THE MONTH by fax or e-mail to all of
your existing clients. Smart Thoughts are motivational or inspirational quotation with your
name on them. Don’t push your logo, telephone number, etc. Put your name in small print
over to one side and all it should say is “Courtesy of (your name).”
