The essence of true leadership is grounded in inspiration, vision and responsibility

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times,
If one remembers to turn on the light.”
                                                     -J.K Rowling
(Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)

When I was asked to write my editorial as the Captain Publications, I felt at
a loss of words. I was speechless. My rhetoric was in blues that day. I was
as clueless as a lion in a world made of grass. All I kept pondering was,
‘How do I make this different? How do I make it stand out?’ For a person
who has already done this twice, it was peculiarly challenging for me. The
only thing I managed to scribble was ‘What Now’?
For a good sum of years, I had dreamt of bagging this designation but now
that I had it, ironically, I was out of words. Suddenly, an epiphany struck
me. I wondered why not express my farrago in my message? I am sure it is
something almost everyone can relate to.
There are times that leave you speechless, times when you get engrossed
in the moment. But it is only these times that fuel the best ideas! It is the
most adverse and toughest of situations that make you realize your true potential and give you an
        estimate of your capabilities.
The human mind is an ocean of thoughts; it is a machine that works for eternity. So, don’t let a situation
like a global pandemic corrode the well-oiled chains of your machine. Face each circumstance as it is.
Winnow away the negativity that blights your aura. No matter how much the logistics of life, don’t let it
divert your attention from your goal, hang tight my friend!
Having addressed that, I would now like to pay my deepest regards to my teachers who bestowed me with
this beautiful and enriching opportunity of serving my school as the ‘Captain Publications.’ I would also
like to thank my Vice-Captains and the truly wonderful family of MJKPS for their precious inputs and
contributions. This experience could not have been better.

                                                                                           NANDINI SHARMA
                                                                                   CAPTAIN PUBLICATIONS

Despite being in a pandemic and spending months at in the lockdown, our lives have not
stopped. We have started getting used to the new normal. Even in these trying times, we
got to see the artistic talents and the hidden writers in the students of MJKPS.
Sterling is not just a 100 pages long book. It is, like its name suggests, a valuable
compilation of our school’s achievements and the dynamic thoughts and creative ideas
        of its students.
I would like to express my gratitude towards my teachers for giving me this opportunity
that has helped me grow as a hardworking and responsible individual. This experience
gave me a chance to present the voices longing to be heard in front of the whole school.
What makes Sterling 2020 special is the learning that it imbibes in us:

“No matter what may come your way,

Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.”
                                                                                               PRISHA KHARI

                                                                            VICE-CAPTAIN PUBLICATIONS
