Responsibilities make a person wiser and more able. I learnt this at MJKPS when I was
conferred with the responsibility of Captain Publications of School.
From being a small girl who would cry at the drop of a hat, I am learning to grow up
to be a sensible and sincere individual. My love for literature and the desire to
express myself to the world brought me to this platform. Never even in my dreams,
I had imagined that one day I would be the hand behind these profusely illustrated
pages of the magazine. As I pen down this note, I am reminded of the hours I spend
rummaging through the piles of mails, editing write-ups, striking off simple
grammatical errors, reading literally out of the box articles, fussing over which
photo to be selected for junior section, inventing captions, quotes and so on. For me,
it was once in a lifetime experience and I feel fortunate enough to have lived this!
From a small cocoon
Came out a butterfly,
And that butterfly was me
That cocoon was my abode,
I broke that open
with your love, in loads
You gave me colours to enjoy
And gave me wings to fly….
And gave me flowers and skies
I thank all our budding writers, poets and hope Sterling 2020 turns out to be an enjoyable read for all.
Even while working online, we developed and formed a close bond with each other. Neha Goel Ma’am and
Shrehya Taneja Ma’am have been there as mentors guiding me all along.
I would also like to thank the editorial team who worked with utmost sincerity and unshaken enthusiasm,
without whom Sterling 2020 would be impossible.
HAPPY READING!

CAPTAIN PUBLICATIONS
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
I feel honoured on being chosen as the Vice – Captain Publications for the
session 2020 – 21. It is a matter of great honour for me and it could not have
been possible without the blessings of God and the unflinching support of
my parents. I feel highly indebted to our Principal Ma’am and my teachers for
having faith in me and giving me this opportunity.
Working on Sterling 2020 in the capacity of Vice-Captain Publication has
been a great learning experience for me. It bestowed on me a chance to
sharpen my skills in academic writing and research. I firmly believe that
words and ideas can change the world.
This edition of our magazine like the previous issues is filled with vigor and
enthusiasm. We hope the reading of this issue gives you the same joy as it
did to us in its planning and execution.
