Selection aid for FÖRCH jacks for commercial vehicles
How do I select the right hydraulic jack?
There are three things to consider when selecting the right jack:
1. How much weight has to be lifted?
2. How much space is available?
3. What is the maximum lift height that is required?
1. How much weight has to be lifted?
Did you know that…?
You will need different equipment depending on whether you want to The latest generations of hydraulic jacks have two or three

you can find a wide range of sizes of hydraulic jacks, starting at 15 t
and going up to 150 t and more.
2. How much space is available? Example of a 25 t hydraulic jack
The best jack in the world is of little use if you cannot get it under the
vehicle. This applies particularly to commercial vehicles, since they
have ever less ground clearance and consequently require ever more 317 mm 10 t

Ground clearance is an important aspect when selecting a jack, as the
jack has to be positioned under the vehicle without damaging it. 234 mm 25 t
Take note: The ground clearance is reduced when the tyres are
underinflated! 161 mm
3. What is the maximum lift height that is required?
To make the best choice, compare the lift height with the maximum
height of all the jacks.
