The Consultant Guide
Serious allegations involve an investigation. The employee is informed of the allegation in a meeting,
provided with a written copy of the allegation and any other relevant material. After the facts have
been gathered and review conducted, it will be decided if the matter will progress to disciplinary
action. If you are involved at any stage of the disciplinary procedure, please contact member advisory.
An advisor will familiarise themselves with your case, provide assistance and attend meetings as your
Union representative.
If you are informed of a complaint against you this should be provided to you in writing. You will be
asked to respond in writing and your response will be provided to the complainant.
If you are ever involved at any stage of this procedure you should receive an outcome letter from HR
/ Medical Manpower advising whether the matter has progressed or closed. It is important you keep
this for your own records.
