Oldest Members
All other committee members were re-elected
The L&HC oldest competing member is riding
outside track and beating age records (both group unopposed in their roles. David Devine stepped down
and national); he is John Lee from the Icknield RC, from the committee due to health reasons and
aged 90 years. unfortunately Barry Quick died earlier in the year. As
has become normal in the group we co-opted event
Our oldest time triallist riding open events is Brian organisers onto the committee, so we welcome
James of Brighton Mitre aged 88/89, but we appear Rachael Elliott who is organising the VTTA National 10
to have no other current riders over 80. Our oldest and Geir Robinson who is organising on the F11/10.
woman racing member is Rosslyn Young of the
Serpentine Running Club aged 75. Two motions were approved for forwarding to the
National AGM in January regarding running
separate championships for tricycles and tandems
alongside all of the current championships.
The committee would welcome any volunteers to
add to their numbers to give a broader view of
members’ activities and opinions. With about three
hundred current members there are surely more
people out there with opinions. Give the secretary
(John Hoskins, 07717 086689) a ring if you are
interested. All of the officers have already been
elected so the workload may be minimal.
