Utilization: retanning agent for filling with selective
action

PROPERTIES
GEATAN RD 44 is a retanning agent presenting numerous advantages
over other agents as it acts in a selective form close to the leather
fibers, preferably where the structure is emptier. This characteristic
highly improves the leathers' aspect, making them fuller and with
optimal grain firmness. However, due to its chemical composition,
GEATAN RD 44 does not change the chrome tanning characteristics,
and, for not being astringent, avoids the grain from wrinkling. GEATAN
RD 44 enables a uniform and intense dyeing to be obtained, has
optimal buffing capacity and maintains the pores closed. Another
peculiar characteristic of this product is the improvement of the
leathers' physical-mechanical strength, including when they are
stored for long periods of time. GEATAN RD 44 is indicated for all
types of chrome leathers, such as baby-calf, box, goat, nubuck,
swedes, alone or combined with synthetic and vegetable retanning
agents. GEATAN RD 44 has optimal light fastness and produces
leathers with fine embossing retention. It is also recommended for
furniture upholstery, and automotive leathers. It is recommended to
be used after neutralization in a new float. It also produces good
results when applied togehter with GEATAN BG, before fatliquoring.
