Utilization: retanning agent for filling, leveling and
sanding

PROPERTIES
GEATAN RX 22 is a synthetic retanning agent developed to provide
leather with firmness of grain and filling. These characteristics are
mainly noticeable in empty areas. Another benefit associated with the
use of GEATAN RX 22 is the increase in the suitability of the leather
grain for sanding. Used together with retanning, it helps to even out
the dyeing. GEATAN RX 22 can be used with other retanning agents in
the same bath, added together or separately. As it is a resinous tannin
that reacts well with leather fiber, GEATAN RX 22 effectively helps to
reduce leather elasticity, especially if activated by drying on plates at
temperatures around 45°C. Its use is recommended for several
articles: box, nubuck, semi-chrome, suede, napa in general, furniture
and automotive upholstery.
