Shrub Chapter
Hibiscus syriacus
Plant introduction:
Deciduous shrub, 3-4 m high. Hibiscus syriacus has
strong adaptability to the environment, is resistant
to dryness and barrenness, and has no strict
requirements on soil. It is especially pleasant to light
and warm and moist climate. Hibiscus syriacus is an
important flowering shrub in summer and autumn, and
its flowering period is from July to October.
Significance and role:
It has strong resistance to harmful gases such as
dioxygen disulfide and chloride, and has strong dust
retention function. It is the main greening tree species
in polluting factories.
Quantity and distribution:
BBAC plants more than 400 Hibiscus syriacus trees,
which are planted in MRA plant area.
