NAVAHCS Average Wait Time:
VA Video Connect (VVC) Data (as of 06/2/2021):
• For FY21, NAVAHCS has provided 16,093 VVC appointments for Veterans. Although the
COVID numbers are decreasing, we are expecting Veterans to continue to utilize VVC
services in-lieu of face-to-face appointments and are anticipating further expansion of services.
NAVAHCS Events & Activities:
• On June 4 , NAVAHCS attended the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall opening

ceremony in Williams, AZ. Director Gurga and staff handed out Vietnam Veteran pins to
attendees after the ceremony.

• June 4 was National Gun Violence Day – NAVAHCS offers FREE gun locks for Veterans
• We held a very successful Volunteer Welcome Back Event earlier this week with
approximately 200 people in attendance. Guests included our Volunteers, the Patriot Guard
Riders (PGR), the American Legion Post 6 Color Guard Team, and Native Air which conducted
a helicopter flyover. Our honored guest speaker was City of Prescott Mayor, Greg Mengarelli.
• Arizona and New Mexico Veterans were offered an opportunity to attend a Listening Session
with VA Leadership earlier this week. The purpose was to hear from our Veterans about their
concerns and how we can improve care.
• NAVAHCS supported the first ever La Paz County Veterans Stand Down Event last month with
approximately 75 Veterans in attendance. The event offered medical services, and donated
items like socks and personal hygiene kits to homeless Veterans.
