                 It was clear from the responses to the socially
                 focused questions that were asked that respondents

                 experienced clear social benefits of engaging with

                   Several stated that the Wednesday
                       Welcome was a “community”.

                                          welcoming environment”








                 Considering the subject of loneliness and social isolation...

                  that they did not feel
                      regularly lonely            advised that the Wednesday Welcome was the perfect way to lessen
                                                  their feelings of isolation. Therefore, almost half of the people who
                                                  use The Port Grocery activities sometimes regularly feel lonely. This
                                                  is a high number of people (173) and should not be ignored when
                                                  understanding the impact of the project.
