Combination of ARB with CCB or diuretic are recommended

single pill combination components by guidelines

The 2018 ESC/ESH guidelines recommend the combination of a drug that blocks
the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) with a calcium channel blocker (CCB) or a
             thiazide/thiazide-like diuretic.

Decide which single pill combination to choose based on:

             - Individual patient characteristics and comorbidities

             - HMOD findings

ARBs are better tolerated than ACEIs due to:

             - ACEI-related cough.

             - Angioedema with ACEIs.

             CCBs:

             - Suggest better results in patients with ischemic heart disease in combination

               with RASI.

             - Are among preferred component of SPC with RASIs, especially in hypertensive
patients with an increased risk of diabetes.

             Diuretics:

             - Are among recommended choices for lowering BP and reducing recurrent
stroke risk, in patients with hypertension who experienced a stroke or TIA

             - Are more effective than other hypersensitive drug classes in preventing heart failure.
