Antihypertensive efficacy of Amlodipine plus Valsartan combination therapy
*P<0.05 vs PL, ƚ P <0.05 vs same dose of AML as monotherapy, ‡ P< 0.05 vs same dose of VAL as monotherapy.
Results from two 8-week multicenter single blind RCTs in 1911 adult patients with mild to moderate hypertension.
The primary endpoint was change from the baseline in msDBP and msSBP at the end of study period.
The reduction in msSBP (19.5-27.8 mmHg) and msDBP (14.2-17.6mmHg) from
baseline with single pill combination of Aml/Val was significantly greater than
that with placebo and same dose of Amlodipine or Valsartan monotherapy.
PL: placebo.
