Ron Nuttall (Vandorne)
          Sadly we lost Ron between
          Christmas and the New Year.
          Ron and wife, Doreen, owned
Keeshonds for many years, all Ron Nuttall
          Keesie males, one being Keesland
          Jumping Jack Flash of Vandorne;
he did not like the show ring
winning one CC, however he sired
          5 Vanwall champions, also being
Top Stud Dog in the breed back
          in the 1980s.
A wonderful day for Ron, with Doreen sitting ringside, was when they
made Ch Desanti Nijinsky of Vandorne a champion under judge Mrs
Geraldine Clark, Darlington, September 2003. He was the last Keesie Ron
          would show.
The last Keesie Ron and Doreen would own was Jake, from the Valindale
Kennel. Ron loved this dog; they would always be side by side before
          losing him during lockdown.

Both Ron and Doreen supported the Keeshond Club for many years with
Doreen baking her renowned cakes for the Club shows.
Away from the Keesies Ron would tell you his big achievement was, with
Doreen, to rebuild a Welsh farm cottage, Pant-Y-Gelynen, Cefn Coch,
Welshpool. They lived in a caravan for many years on site whilst building,
also living with them was granddaughter, Diane. Later they sold
Pant-Y-Gelynen and moved to Newtown to be close to Diane, husband
Lee and their two boys, Dan and Ollie, these being a great support for
both until Ron’s passing and continue to support Doreen today.
On a personal note, Linda and I have lost a very good friend in Ron; we
visited and stayed in that same caravan for over 10 years talking about
the ‘Keesie world’, beside the brook passing through Pant-Y Gelynen, also
talking about the building of the farm cottage and enjoying Doreen’s
wonderful cooking. This continued when they moved to Newtown,
however sadly due to lockdown we have not been to visit since 2019
however we would phone Ron and Doreen weekly and be on the phone
for an hour at a time. We continue to phone Doreen and will be visiting
          later this year.
                                         R.I.P. Ron.
