SIGNALLING & TELECOMMUNICATION
1. For the first time in SC Railway, Built-In Block interface with operation on VDU
implemented between Mahbubnagar-Divitipalli section of SC-DHNE
In Built Block Instrument when embedded in VDU(PC) UFSBI Panel (additional physical unit)
The interlocking logic of BPAC using UFSBI(Universal Failsafe Block Interface)
is transferred into application logic of EI system. The exchange of information is done
on optical fibre media between two Electronic Interlocking systems thus eliminating
requirement of separate block panel and UFSBI. This has reduced the utilization of
relays andmaintenance effort when compared to UFSBI. Opertation time is comparable
with that of UFSBI (i.e 4 secs).
2. For the first time in Indian Railways Integration of Electronic interlocking system
with Kavach carried out at 10 stations between Falaknuma and Umdanagar.
3. Emergency sliding booms have been provided 100% for all the 72 interlocked LC gates
in the division.
4. Remote Diagnostic and Preventive Maintenance System (RDPMS) has been
installed by M/s Efftronics Systems Pvt Ltd in coordination with RCIL at Malkajgiri
station on trail basis for the first time in SCR. The objective of providing RDPM system
is to assist maintenance team in taking appropriate maintenance action in advance to
prevent the failure of signalling gears to reduce MTTR and this is achieved by
automated analysis of parameters of Signal gears collected remotely using IoT
