The implementation is divided into two groups; Group 1 focuses on improving the drainage system within Bangkok; and Group 2 aims to enhance drainage efficiency in the boundary areas between Bangkok and its neighboring provinces. This proposal was presented during the NWRC Meeting No. 3/2022 on 19 October 2022. The NWRC approved the concept and assigned the BMA to further study alternative options for the construction of an extended tunnel from Nong Bon Pond to Prawet Burirom Canal and the Lat Krabang regulator.
