It worked! The team saved Zelé. He breathed a sigh
of relief. Lucas could feel the boys’ anxiety and
decided to forget about his socks and give then a
football lesson instead.
“Gather round guys. Let me show you some
tactics” commanded Lucas. “In a football game
‘team-work’ is very important. The only way is to
work together as one unit. Not as individuals. Each
one of you has a position and job to do: the goalie
defends the goal. Full backs protect the goal and
the goalkeeper; but also they help the mid field
players. Midfields have two jobs; support the full
backs and feed the forwards with good ball. And
then the forwards…???”
He paused asking for an answer…
“Score the goals!” they all shouted in unison,
excitedly.
“We have a name for our team, Mister Lucas” Davi
spoke proudly.
“BATUTAS” They shouted.
