PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY :

COMMUNITY GREW UP: Detroit, Southfield, MI and Houston, TX

WHAT CAREER ASPIRATIONS: After graduating from Cornell, I intend to enter educational policy
focusing on providing an equitable education for Black and marginalized youth from all backgrounds. I
will also use my literary skills to elevate Black voices and narratives through media and film. I intend to
pursue voice-over work to breathe life into creative projects that tell Black stories.

HOW WILL THE SCHOLARSHIP FROM SKF HELP YOU: The Scholarship from the Southfield Kappa
Foundation will assist my family by providing financial support for my educational pursuits. The funds
will be used for textbooks, supplies, and any resources necessary to support me toward academic suc-
cess

ARE YOU WILLING TO COME BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER TO MOTIVATE ANOTHER
YOUNG BLACK STUDENT PURSUE GOING TO COLLEGE?:

I will return to the community to provide current and future Kappa Leaguers with important knowledge
on how to best prepare for and navigate the college experience. I will use my voice to help guide them
as they master their own stories and learn to present themselves as leaders and young kings.
