EVENTS DURING FAIR WEEK

ACKMONSTER’S CHAINSAW ART
Brian Ackley from Bridgeton, NJ is a top professional chainsaw sculptor. Dedicated to
promoting and preserving the integrity of this art form, onlookers will observe, from behind
protective netting, an original and captivating high energy performance. With his chain
saw roaring and wood chips flying, Brain will quickly transform a log into a true work of
art. Any subject is possible.
AGRICULTURAL EXHIBIT HALL
In this Hall, you will find all the items entered into competition. Judging will highlight the
best in field crops, horticulture, food conservation, baked goods, handicrafts, sewing,
artwork, photography, home industry, beers, ciders, wines. Be sure to look for the Blue, Red
and White exhibitor winners. Best of Show winners will be prominently displayed.
Over 19 Educational Booths are located in this hall. Contact NC Cooperative Extension,
Lee County Center at 919-775-5624 to reserve a booth. Booth competition can be tough
between the 4H, Vocational Education, Youth Groups and Adult Community & Civic,
Nonprofit organizations. You won’t want to miss the Cook-offs and the tasting of the
winning items. The Sanford Lions Club concession stand with cold beverages, fresh
popcorn, peanuts, fruit and deep-fried items can be purchased in the Ag. Exhibit Hall.
ANTIQUE TRACTOR PULL
An antique tractor pull will be a crowd pleaser on Saturday this year at the Lee Regional
Fair. Also known as power pulling, this motorsport competition requires modify tractors to
pull heavy modified tractors to pull a heavy sled along a 25-foot-wide, 200-foot-long track,
with the winner being the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest.
Carolina Antique Tractor Pullers Association (CATPA) will host and local participation is
encouraged. CATPA is a small antique tractor pulling organization located in Eastern
