ANTIQUE TRACTOR & WHEAT THRESHING EXHIBIT
The Central Carolina Antique Power & Equipment Club (C-CAPE) will hold an Antique
Farm Machinery Display and Demonstration Tuesday through Friday from 6:00-9:00pm,
Saturday from 2:00-9:00pm and Sunday from 12:00-7:00pm. Antique farm machinery
dating back to the early part of this century will be on display and in operation. The displays
includes tractors from 1920s through 1960s; small one-cylinder engines from 1910s through
1930s; a Red River Special Thresher from the 1920s. The thresher will actually be threshing
wheat. Don't miss the opportunity to see this old equipment in operation.
BROADWAY LIONS GOLF BALL DROP
To benefit the charitable work of the Broadway Lions Club, members will be conducting
a golf ball drop on Sunday, September 15 at 3pm. Letts Tree Service will provide a
boom truck, a hole will be dug by members, numbered balls will be loaded into the boom
basket and as anticipation rises, the basket lifts. At the signal, the golf balls will be
released and the 1st place winner (hole in one or closest to hole) will be awarded $1000;
2nd place winner (furthest from hole) receives $50. If you are feeling lucky, purchase
your golf balls for $10 each or 3 for $20. Tickets will be on sale during the Lee Regional
Fair at the Broadway Lions Club Tent.
CANNED FOOD COLLECTION
Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County (CUOCLC) and the Salvation Army,
both United Way of Lee County agencies, will collect canned food items at the Fair on
Sunday. Five cans of food will get you into the Fair FREE. Food-pantry needs include
macaroni & cheese, pasta sauce, bags of pinto beans, cans of black beans, jelly, peanut
butter, potatoes, tuna & canned meats, chili with beans, pasta (e.g., spaghetti, ravioli, etc.)
CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE EXOTIC KIND
Welcome to the jungle! Close Encounter of the Exotic Kind is a Wild animal show
consisting of a mix of Royal Bengal Tigers and African Lions The show promises
entertaining and educational experiences of a lifetime.
COMMERCIAL EXHIBIT HALL
Visit numerous booths from vendors, churches and civic organizations. Displays will be
available during the week with vendors selling their products, advertising their business or
just giving out information about their group. While new groups join us each year, many of
your favorites have been part of the Lee Regional Fair for years. New this year in the
Commercial Exhibit Hall will be raffles and nightly giveaways, and a scavenger hunt held.
