Bulleit 10 Year Old
Nose: Toasty and oaky with creamy vanilla.
Palate: Lots of dried fruits (especially apricot) and more
vanilla, but this time in spicy pod form.
Finish: Long and rich, with a whisper of smoke.

Jameson Caskmates
Nose: Th ere’s still cut grass and some fruit alongside delicious
oily pot still character, but things are diff erent here too. A
diff erent sweetness perhaps, more wood spice plus chocolate
liqueur. A shift of emphasis.
Palate: Orchard fruits, great mouthfeel but the vanilla cream is
less prominent, it’s more fragrant and fl oral on the palate with
a touch of bitterness.
Finish: Again familiar, but diff erent, that diff erent complexion
of spice with chocolate from the nose lingers briefl y.

Nikka 12 Year Old
Nose: Fruity and fl oral. Notes of apple pie, plum jam, vanilla
and cappuccino. Also an occassional whiff of peat.
Palate: Sweet and smooth, hints of apple, nutmeg and subtle
vannila fl avours, thick and honied. Buttery toff ee, with spicey
notes. Highly sip-able
Finish: Quite creamy and medium-long, with vanilla and
apple notes topped with a few grains of salt. Light peat fl avour
remains aft er the oak is gone.

Penderyn 41 Madeira
Nose: Rich, caramel-like aromas, with notes of soft sweetness,
orange peel, vanilla and crackling spices.
Palate: Light palate entry with hints of dried herbs and malt.
A little Peach Melba.
Finish: Peaches, creamy.
