b. Internal Fire Safety Audit

An intenal fire audit was conducted by the supervisors of DLS/MLY in the shed
premises and the deficiencies have been appraised to the appropriate
authorities. Further shed staff also cleared a lot of dry vegetation in the shed
premises to avoid any fire incidents.

Loco:

a) Designed and providing locking plates for WDG3 brake gear pins

Shed has designed & provided the following Locking plates with
positive locking to secure the fasteners of the brake pull rod assembly.

Objective: To eliminate failures in brake gear system of Alco locos.

Benefits: Increase loco reliability and is a safety enhancement measure. Rising of Centre
Pivot Guard in WDG3 Locos to ensure contact of Centre Pivot Block with pin to some extent
even Centre Pivot Block is dropped due to holding bolts sheared (6 Locos balance to be
completed).
