➢ All staff shall follow this Safe System of Work, prior to, using the fuel area or moving a vehicle around (or off) site.
EMERGENCY ACTION Only staff that have received the appropriate training and have been assessed as competent in this activity with its associated risk
assessments & safe working systems, shall carry out the fuelling of company vehicles or drive a company vehicle on or off site
AUTHORISED PERSONS ➢ Kim Aukland. Transport General Manager. Transport Manager. Company Site Managers. Company Site Supervisors. Garage Staff.
PPE REQUIREMENTS

EQUIPMENT / RECOURCES TO BE ➢ Driver License, D-CPC Card (DQC), Digital Tachograph Card, Waste Transfer Notes, Near Miss report forms.
USED
PLANT & EQUIPMENT ➢ Driver Daily Check Sheet, Time Sheet.
CHECKS
ENVIRONMENTAL ➢ Fire, Inclement Weather, Fuel Spillages, Oil Leaks.
CONTROLS ➢ Awareness of fuel escaping into the nearby streams and causing contamination.
OPERATION ➢ The Operating Procedures for using the fuel area or moving a vehicle around site.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES ➢ Hold an up to date driver qualification card & up to date with annual driver CPC Training.
Prior to the operation of refuelling company vehicles or driving a company vehicle around a site the driver will have completed:
➢ The reading and understanding of this Safe System of Work.
