On this 19 day of December last year, my Joyselyn was transported by Ambulance from our home in Rosebud to
Baylor, Scott, and White Hospital in Temple. Their doctors admitted her, and our stay was a week. I have referred to
this trip earlier in this journal, starting on page 24. It was tough to see my girl so scared. Knowing she was needle-

phobic and watching the tears run down her cheek was painful. We did not know what was happening to her body—
so many tests to perform. Around-the-clock nursing, on the hour every hour. More jabbing her with needles. Forty-

eight hours nonstop—IVs, oxygen, pill after pill. The only thing I could do was hold my Joyselyn's hand, love on her,

and pray. The following days after a procedure, she seemed to be doing much better, but doctors wanted to keep her
a few days more for observation.

The day after Christmas, attending doctors released Joyselyn, and we were homebound. Not long ago, we entered our
lovely home together after that week's troublesome hospital visit. Understand, they were wonderful to both of us,

very caring and attentive, for which we were grateful.

New restored hope that she would be made well and live a long life of growing old together. We never wanted to be

separate from one another, in this life or the next.

Sure, wish Heaven had visiting hours.
