“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in
him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
Romans 3:23 and Romans 5:23 will also be helpful.
(Memory note. When sharing these verses you can easily tell some-
one about the Peace Path by saying, “It says in Romans 5 that we find
grace when we have faith in Jesus; it says in Romans 10 that when we
confess Jesus as Lord and believe that He is our resurrected savior we
are saved; and that Romans 15 teaches that the result will be peace by
the power of the Holy Spirit. Think Romans 5 + 5 = 10 + 5 = 15. Chapters
5, 10, and 15. This is where we find the peace path.)
6. Leading someone to peace.
If someone’s ready to follow Jesus ask three final questions.
• Do you want to find peace in Jesus?
• Are you willing to follow Jesus and do what he asks?
• Would you repeat this prayer with me?
Dear God, I confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I turn away
from my sins and my life style that doesn’t follow Him. I know that
only by faith that I can be saved. I will follow Jesus through the
grace that you give to me. Walk with me and give me peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!
7. Concluding the story.
It’s a good thing Jesus is Lord and Savior because he’d make a
terrible banker.
He doesn’t balance the books. He doesn’t insist on repayment.
And not only has he paid off your debt of sin, he’s also paid off what
your friends and family owe. And rather than present a bill for services
rendered, he opens the floodgates of peace in your life.
