You can trust there will be joy in spite of your difficulties and trials.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face
trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith
produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you
may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1: 2-4).
You can trust that you’re secure in your friendship with Jesus.
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor de-
mons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:38-39).
Both pray for one another.
How can I pray for you?
Pause to pray for one another.
You’re in this adventure of following
Jesus together!
Both memorize & make a commitment.
Heart and Mind
There’s great value planting God’s Word deep into your heart and
mind.
Consider memorizing this passage:
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about
what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).
Commitment to one another
• The discipler will pray for the disciple every day of walking
through First Steps Conversations.
• The disciple will call the discipler if there is a moment of
discouragement that tempts the disciple to walk away from
faithfulness to Jesus.
