twirling flames on the walls. M. Stuart could hear the
raindrops beating the windows. He made for the
glasses and he was occupied to watch outside when
he suddenly felt a frozen sigh on his arm. The ticking
clock became increasingly weighing as the hand
clocks came near to midnight. Tic-tac. M. Stuart could
not persuade himself to turn around and see where
this slight breath had come from. It may be the wind
blast from outside, the room may not be isolated…
Tic-tac. Oh, come on! Where did that stupid fear come
from? He’s a man! Plucking up courage, he turned
around. He could feel his heart beating fast, all his
body was shaking and he began to lose the control of
himself… How did she find where he was?
Suddenly, the clock sounded the stroke of midnight,
and… “Oh my god, I cannot say what happened! No
one will believe me! They will think I am mad!”,
whined M. Stuart.
