Suddenly, a noise of broken glasses occurred and it
appeared to come from the first floor...
Looking at the stairs, she quickly removed a piece of
paper from a pocket of her apron and gave it to M.
Stuart.
“The exact address to find him. Don’t lose time. Go
now”.
He thanked her and climbed down promptly the
stoop stairs and settled inside the carriage. The
coachman waved abruptly his rope and hit the horses
with it. They suddenly began to move towards the
entrance propriety doors. Without looking behind
him, M. Stuart was divided between hate, the anger
to had been betrayed and the sadness about George’s
death… He will find Edward and kill this horrible
man. He will pay for his acts…
The storm recurred with greater intensity. The
thick black clouds formed a compact mass all around
the sky and the water droplets fallen from a black
ocean crashed sharply on the carriage windows.
