They were in Germany after taking the boat and
browsing many thousands of miles.

M. Stuart felt the tiredness spread through all his
body. He ordered to the coachman to stop at the next
hostel. He received a telegram indicating that his
wife and his daughter were safe in the North of
France where Miss Stuart’s parents were living.

Georges’ body was buried in the cemetery where M.
Stuart’s parents were lying. He did not know how to
tell those terrible news to his wife… M. Seward
definitely broke his family and he will pay for what
he had done…Suddenly, the carriage stopped in
front of a great manor. The coachman hurried to open
the door and stammered through the droplets: “Sir,
you can take a rest in this manor. It’s the only one on
our way.”

M. Stuart climbed down the carriage stairs and
headed for the manor gates. Before he could knock at
the door, it opened and a man face appeared in the
half-open doorway.

“Oh! Come in quickly, it’s pouring down”, said the
man with a hand gesture to the interior.
