Identify your personal views. Very few people are official spokespersons for Kontoor
Brands or its brands. Unless you are one of them, you must make clear you are speaking for
yourself and not the company or one of Kontoor Brands’ brands. If you convey a personal
viewpoint online or in social media that is not an official public statement on behalf of your
brand or Kontoor Brands, please make it clear that your opinions are your own and not
those of your brand or Kontoor Brands. For example, add a visible or audible disclaimer to
your social media bios, websites, and podcasts as follows: The views expressed on this site
are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer.
Portray a professional image. If your affiliation with Kontoor Brands can be found online,
others may associate you and your actions with the company. Please ensure your online
and social media profiles are consistent with the way you wish to present yourself to
clients, customers and colleagues.
Never disclose confidential information. As a public company, there is an abundance of
information that Kontoor Brands and our employees cannot discuss publicly. Employees
should never post non‐public information or comments online related to Kontoor Brand’s
revenue, forecasts, trade secrets, pricing information, earnings, M&A activity, future plans
or legal activities. Please act responsibly with the information you are entrusted with.
Respect intellectual property rights of VF and others. Follow all laws regarding copyrights,
trademarks, rights of publicity and other third‐party rights. To minimize the risk of
infringing on Kontoor Brands’ logos, brand names, taglines, slogans or other trademarks,
follow the standard usage guidelines set by Kontoor Brands and brands. Guidelines for
Kontoor Brands can be found on the Corporate Communications page on The Konnect.
Contact individual brands for their guidelines.
Protect clients, business partners and suppliers. Clients, business partners or suppliers
should not be cited or referenced without prior approval.
Be respectful. Respect co‐workers, customers, partners, competitors and others. Do not
post language that is threatening, disrespectful or intimidating to colleagues, customers or
business partners. Be respectful of all religious, political, economic, gender identity, sexual
preference and racial differences, and opinions. Respect the privacy of others.
Think before you post. If you are unsure about how the information you want to post may
be perceived by others, talk to your manager or the Corporate Communications team
before posting.
Honor work commitments. If social media is not a part of your normal work activity, please
make sure the time you spend using social media does not interfere with your work
commitments.
