Thought leadership is important at all levels; its importance increases with
seniority. A solid response gives the interviewer confidence that you can
deal with the intellectual challenges of the role.
n The ‘thought’ domain is about direction, strategy, creativity, problem
solving, change, innovation, judgement and decision making.
n Depending on the seniority of the role, you need to think about
the focus of your responses: is it mainly at the individual, team or
organisational level?
n Creativity is not always about originality. Creativity can also be
demonstrated by applying existing approaches to a new situation.
