              Cold blooded animals.
              Respiration through gills, skin and lungs.
              Contains three chambered heart.

              Frog, Necturus, toad, salamander are some examples.
             Class Reptilia

              They are crawling animals.
              Cold-blooded and have two pair of limbs.
              Skeleton is flexible.
              Respiration takes place by lungs.
              Have 3 ½ chambered heart.
              In crocodile heart, there are four chambers.
              Eggs are covered with shell made up of calcium carbonate.
              Lizard, snake, tortoise, turtle are some examples.
              Cobra, the only snake which makes nests.
              Heloderma, the only poisonous lizard.
            Class Aves
              They are aerial vertebrates - birds.
              Warm blooded tetrapod vertebrates with flight adaptation.
              Fore-feet are modified into wings to fly.

              Respiration through lungs.
              Birds have no teeth. Beak helps in feeding.
              Single ovary and pneumatic bones.
              Crow, peacock, parrot are some of the examples.
              Ostrich – Largest bird.
              Humming bird – Smallest bird.
              Largest zoo in India is Alipur (in Kolkatta)
            Class Mammalia
              Warm blooded animals.
              Tooth comes twice.
              No nucleus in matured RBC.

              Skin of mammals contains hair.
              External ear is present.
              Divided in to three sub classes :
              Protheria – Lays eggs. E.g. Echidna.
              Metatheria- Bears the immature child. e.g.  Kangaroo.
              Eutheria- Bears well developed child. E.g. Humans.
              Give birth to young ones, but Echidna and Platypus are egg laying mammals.

            5.  SYSTEM OF HUMAN BODY AND DISEASES
            Integumentary System
              Human skin is composed of a minimum of three layers.
              They are epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
            Epidermis
              Top layer of the skin is made up of epithelial cells.
