Please do not believe in the notion that tension is a part and parcel
of your life; you do not have to accept it. If you have made up your
mind that tension is normal, you will never be able to release

yourself from its prison. You must remember that this is nothing but a
bad habit and you can quit this habit.

Let me share a story with you.

Once a man bought two shirts. One was red in colour and other was
green—He showed both the shirts to his wife and asked her to pick
one, and told her that he would return the other one. The wife chose

the red shirt and asked him to return the green one. The person
decided to keep the red shirt and went on to return the other, but all
the way he kept thinking why his wife did not choose the green shirt.
What could be the reason behind this? He could not sleep the entire
night, and after thinking for hours at a stretch he concluded that

there was some motive behind his wife's decision—she does not
love him. Next day he had an argument with his wife on this topic.

I will now share another story with you.

Once upon a time, a king summoned his accountant to enquire
about how much wealth he had.

The accountant said, ‘Dear King, you have so much wealth that your
next 15 generations can decide to do nothing but will still have plenty
at their disposal.’ They will not have to do anything. The king grew
tense rather than becoming happy, he asked the accountant what
will happen to his 16th generation?

Both the stories convey the message that taking tension about things
become our habit, but what we must remember is that habits can be
broken. The kind of situations that have been created in the two
stories can occur in our lives as well. Whether we get tensed or not
depends on how strong we are mentally. The person who is very
patient is the one who is stronger from within. The one who tends to
get angry very soon will instantly become tensed as well. Situations

in life are like a bush full of thorns—you can easily wade through if
