SOCIAL STUDIES ELECTIVES

AP European History*: 11th/12th Graders Only! This course covers the basic chronology of major events and
trends in Europe with a time period focus from the Renaissance to the present.
*Prerequisite: Successful completion of World History is required.
AP Psychology*: 11th/12th Graders Only! This course will examine the scientific nature of psychology, as well as
brain and human development and function and behavioral processes.
*Prerequisite: Successful completion of World History is required.
AP Human Geography: This course is the study of people from a spatial and ecological perspective. Students
will study patterns and processes of human languages, religion, politics, and population. Students will use many
forms of critical thinking and are expected to present, discuss, debate, and write free-response essays.
This is a great first course for being introduced to the rigors of the AP Curriculum.
