Marina Build has Commenced Sept 2019. Completion in advance of
                                    2020 season
































     Cove Sailing Club are delighted to announce the signing of contracts to install a 30
     Berth marina in Whitepoint Cobh.  The marina is designed by Byrne Looby from
     their Cobh Office.
     The build of the marina has commenced in Ringaskiddy and it is planned to be
     completed well in advance of the 2020 season.
     Speaking at the signing, Kieran Dorgan, Commodore of Cove Sailing Club, stated
     that it will provide state-of-the-art marina facilities all year round and will accom-
     modate both locals and visitors to safely secure their boats in a safe environment
     adjacent to the historical maritime town of Cobh. It will also provide another plat-
     form to the already successful ‘Cobh tourism trail’.
     The signing was also attended by Richard Marshall, Anne Ahern, Micheál O Driscoll
     & Damian Ahern, Committee members of Cove Sailing club, Paul Murphy of Byrne
     Looby and local councillor Cathal Rasmussen.”

     The project is being completed with the support of Cork County Council, a Sports
     Capital programme grant, Port of Cork and SECAD. The selected contractor Orsta
     Marina Systems Nederland BV specialise in the design, supply and installation of
     floating breakwaters and pontoons for berthing of leisure and commercial vessels.
     The company is internationally recognised as a market leader in the field.
