module drafting 181
Example #3, continued:
make the module function are enclosed within it. Others
require the use of equipment or materials or resources.
Someone has to be directed to collect these items before
the module can be used.
Is everything the student will need contained within the
module itself, within the package of print or tapes or
disks you have drafted?
Does the student need to use something, fix something,
adjust something, fill out something? List those some-
things as the items that will need to be collected before
the module can be attempted.
b. Preparation
If you only have one Limpmobile for each ten students,
and if each student has to practice replacing the In-law
Ejector, someone is going to have to schedule the prac-
tice time. Can it be accomplished by a simple sign-up
sheet hung on a door or wall? Will another method be
needed? However it is to be accomplished, an instructor
or someone will have to prepare the mechanism by
which the practice will be scheduled.
Will students need to fill out forms? Will they need to
travel to where the equipment they are learning about is
located? If so, where will the forms be placed? How will
students get to the equipment location?
Will students be expected to practice troubleshooting
equipment? If so, what kind of practice “bugs”(troubles)
should the instructor insert? In what order? Clear direc-
tions will need to be prepared for the instructor prepar-
ing to administer the module.
