Course Map
The Course Map shows how each module of the course is
related to other modules and to the course as a whole.
1. Before beginning to study any module, complete all
the prerequisites for that module (i.e., all modules
shown by lines and arrows leading into that module).
2. The location of a module on the map represents a sug-
gestion as to the approximate point in the course
where it will be most meaningful to you. Where no
sequence is shown (i.e., where there are no arrows
leading into a module), feel free to study those mod-
ules in any order you wish.
3. Place an “X”or some other mark on those modules the
instructor indicates are optional for you.
Modules
1. Before beginning a new module series, read the intro-
ductory comments at the front of the module materi-
al. The diagram facing the introduction shows how
the modules in that section relate to the rest of the
course.
2. Study only one module at a time, but feel free to put
that module down and study another that you are eli-
gible to enter whenever you wish.
3. Begin a module by reading the Objective and the
description of the Skill Check (or sample test item).
