• Before you enter the practice room, take one of the tags
that is hanging on the door, and then replace it when you
leave. Each tag represents an available practice station and
will let other students know how many pieces of practice
equipment are available at any given time.
• If the work you have completed for a Skill Check is not yet
adequate, and if the instructor had to revise or modify it,
it will be considered the instructor’s work, and you will be
asked to repeat the Skill Check after completing some
additional practice.
• If, at any time during the course, you feel that there is too
much reading, it is probably because you are doing one or
more of the following:
1. Working alone instead of with a colleague when a
module suggests it.
2. Plodding through a resource you consider uninterest-
ing or inappropriate for you instead of putting it down
and finding another.
3. Using printed materials as your primary source of
information instead of making use of colleagues and
the course manager.
4. Spending too long with a problem before asking for
assistance.
5. Working through all the resources listed in a module,
instead of using only those you need to help you devel-
op the desired skill.
