course, stated in performance terms?
2. Are the objectives derived from the
job, craft, or vocation being taught?
3. If your students feed into another
course, are your objectives derived in
part from the prerequisites of that
course?
4. Were the objectives derived from
some part of the real world (i.e.,
derived to meet a real need)?
Course Materials
1. Does each student have a copy of the
course objectives?
2. Is the instructional content confined
to what is needed to accomplish the
objectives (i.e., includes no irrele-
vant instruction)?
3. Are the instructional materials all
keyed to the objectives so that stu-
dents know which materials are rel-
evant to the accomplishment of
each objective?
4. Are the materials understandable to
the students? (Ask them.)
5. Are the instructional materials read-
