Dear Friends:

I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to everyone attending the 2022 Day of Koreans Art
Exhibition – The Soul of the East and West. I would particularly like to welcome the artists from Seoul
National University who have travelled to be here for this event.

This exhibition, featuring works by Korean and Canadian artists, offers a wonderful opportunity to
highlight the strong partnership between our two countries as we prepare to celebrate 60 years of
diplomatic relations next year. I am sure that visitors will be inspired by this unique cultural showcase
and that they will enjoy the many other activities planned for the next twelve days, including traditional
Korean dance and musical performances.

I would like to commend OIS Art of Canada for planning and hosting this exhibition. You can take pride
in your commitment to promoting cultural exchange between Korea and Canada. I would also like to
thank all of the artists for sharing their talents and cultural heritage.
