『2022 Day of Koreans Art Exhibition』 Congratulatory Message

I extend my hearty congratulations on the 2022 Day of Koreans Art Exhibition, “The Soul of the East and
West.”

I would particularly like to thank OIS Art of Canada for hosting the exhibition. I am pleased that artist-
professors from our Seoul National University participate by sharing their recent works.

This exhibition, featuring works by five Canadian and five Korean artists, contributes to promoting
cultural exchange between the two countries. I believe that Canadian and Korean visitors will have
a deeper understanding of each other’s culture. It is meaningful that York Wilson’s works, inspired
by traditional Korean poems, will be shown for the first time in the accompanying exhibition. These
exhibitions, followed by other cultural events, will strengthen and deepen the relationship between
Canada and Korea.

I wish the 2022 Day of Koreans will be fruitful and memorable.
